Stephanie Kinnear

Stephanie Kinnear was born and raised in Southern California. After four very cold and rural years studying creative writing and English literature at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, she moved to Boston, Ma., where she worked as a waitress, a high school English teacher and an editorial intern at Boston’s then-fledgling alternative weekly newspaper, the Weekly Dig (all in the same year). Stephanie has spent the last four years as a print journalist, holding every paid position, from staff writer to editor in chief, at the Ventura County Reporter. There, she developed a passion for environmental journalism, covering activists, agriculture, politics and everything in between. Her work has also appeared in Whole Life Times magazine, the LA Weekly and Venuszine.
