Myleen & Jan,
I haven't seen anything from you guys in a while. Is everything going alright?
So how is it going with your SIP framers? Are you having any luck? I hope all is well!
~Summer Berry~
Myleen,
I'm glad you are such an endorser for SIPs. I am too (but I kind of have to be since I sell them :-) ) I love reading your blogs! You are very informative and well educated.
To answer your question the only bad thing with subs is that most bulk if they have never seen SIPs before. An electrician sees all of the OSB and can't figure out how he is going to do his job. The most important thing is that he gets the information that he needs. You or your SIP provider needs to educate the subs as to what they need to do.
Most subs once they have been properly educated and try it out realize that usually it is easier to deal with SIPs than with traditional stick once they know where the standard wire chases are (Most companies have their own standards for vertical and horizontal chases). This is best shown with electricians since they are the ones most affected by the SIP.
Whoever provided the panels will usually be more than happy to talk to your subs and in some cases send out a tech rep to assist them for a period (Although many charge a fee for sending a tech rep)
Let me know if there is anything else you need. I am more than happy to help!
Sincerely,
Summer Berry

Hey guys, it looks like the house project is really coming along. Looks like fun too and you are obviously learning a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing your next mini- adventure post and I hope you are taking lots of photos (look for more photo badgering to come :))
Hi ;)
Thanks for the comment. I would be very happy to help you design a home in Sweden, after all Copenhagen is just half an hour away. But do you have a site, or are you looking for one? Let me know when you got more news.
My parents was living in Texas a few years back, down south, at the Mexican border. McAllan! Pretty borring place, everything is build for cars and golfers (not very sustainable) ;) though I love to play!
My parents got a house in Sweden, near Ljungby where I have just started designing an additional building.
We also use Ifö toilets in Denmark, I got one myself. Ifö toilets are more or less standard here. It's great for the environment!
See you ;)
