My little Swallow baby flew the coup on Saturday, August 2, 2008 and I hope he/she is doing well. I can't upload his cute image until I have a phone and the internet at home.

At the present, July 26, 2008, I am taking care of a sweet little swallow baby bird, about 3 -4 weeks old and I hope I can continue to keep it healthy so he/she can fly to freedom. It was abandoned by its parents and almost became road kill, so I took on the challenge. I had experience in the past raising exotic birds, and he/she eats berries or oatmeal with egg yolk or a brown rice, corn or vegetable, bean diet with added fruit. So far so good. Today was the first day I placed it on top of some brush for the day so he/she can get used to being fed the way his/her parents would feed it, before it flys to its freedom. Of course I will bring it in for the night, so varments won't eat the cute little baby bird.
