Cardinal Building Systems helps build energy efficient residential and commercial buildings. We believe in building faster, stronger and higher quality homes. We specialize in Structutal Insulated Panels (SIPs). SIPs provide architects, builders, and owners significant savings in time, labor and operating costs. With each home built with SIPs eliminates 2 to 3 tons of CO2 emissions per year. We are a distributor for the Mid Atlantic Region, Covering New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, DC, and North Carolina.

What are SIPs?
SIPs are a strong structural system consisting of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation which is laminated to oriented strand board (OSB) forming a structural panel. The panels resist warping and racking. They are especially cost effective when strength, comfort, performance, and energy efficiency are demanded by the building owner, designer, and builder. SIPs can be used for walls, roof, and floors.

SIPs work well with other products such as Radiant Floor Heating and are extremely compatible with Timber Frames or Eagle Rigid Spans.

hey Summer! Looks like you need commas between tags-- I fixed one of them. Can you see if that works?

Thanks for checking in! We are still here, but have had many delays with the building process. It is coming though and we're still building with SIPs :-). We actually found a framer who only does SIPs, finally! He seems to be very good too. I will be posting a lot again once construction starts.

Sorry about that one, hopefully not too many people were subjected to it. That's the first that's ever happened and we really don't want to have to review and approve each and every member who signs up. If it becomes a recurring problem, we will, but hopefully he/she won't want to go through that entire process again.... hope all is well with you, Summer!

hey Summer, how have you been? I saw this post on Jetson Green and thought of you: http://www.jetsongreen.com/2008/03/seed-architectu.html -- super snazzy and modern!

right on Summer, the post looks great! Ok I am off to Green Build now, catch ya next week.
