2008 presidential election

We're not interested in wandering too far into the dangerous realm of politics; however, we just heard an interesting tidbit of news.

Apparently Hillary Clinton has proposed spending $1 billion a year to improve energy efficiency in schools and other public buildings.

OK, that's all we'll say about that.

Now, let's move onto an interesting question that little newsflash raises: How largely will green building issues play into the 2008 presidential election?

Obviously, environmental issues are a hot topic right now and we'd venture as far as assuming that no serious candidate will get anywhere this election season without unveiling a detailed action plan to combat global warming.

So, where does green building fit into all of this?

Is green building an issue you plan to vote on? What green building topics would you like to hear addressed by presidential candidates? What type of green building plan would your ideal candidate outline?
