Personal Information:
I'm a Certified Thermograher and Certified Green Building Professional with advanced training. My professional background includes management of real estate, custom-home builder, and escrow offices.
"How To Go Green Without Going Broke" is my favorite topic, and I organize community forums to share my training and education. To make presentations and lead Q&As, I've gathered a team of 18 other green building professionals, all of whom have been promoting sustainability for at least five years. We enjoy sharing our knowledge and experience, discussing what works and what hasn't, and building upon our knowledge to share at the next forum.
My interests also include the Acterra Green@Home Program, for which I was a Team Coordinator. In teams of three we visited Palo Alto homes and conducted energy audits. We took away facts and measurements, and within a few days the homeowners received a report. It calculated how many tons of CO2 they'd be saving due to the adjustments the team made, and how many more tons they were likely to save by following through on the lifestyle changes we talked about. Green@Home will soon come to Redwood City.
Professional Information:
Visual Cue provides objective infrared scanning services for home owners, buyers and builders, and small business owners. We use a state-of-the-art infrared imager that sees what the human eye can't see. It shows where your home or building has air gaps or insulation problems, the leading causes of greenhouse gas emissions linked to the built environment. Visual Cue thermography reports are the ideal tool for planning your construction and remodel projects, confirming the quality of completed work, and verifying energy efficiency claims prior to purchase.

Welcome Lorna, so glad you made it! I love what you are doing. I think people sitting between buyers and seller have a real opportunity to accelerate the mindset and the importance of green building. Have you met Holly G yet? It sounds like her business is thriving.
