The Pasadena EcoHouse

The Pasadena EcoHouse

SCIP - LEED Platinum Home in the USA

SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulated Panels) homes use eco-concrete skins as structural component, which is sprayed on a pre-fabricated styropore panel with a recycled wire-mesh truss system. This allows rapid construction, cost savings and high-energy efficiency. The Pasadena EcoHouse www.ThePasadenaEcoHouse.com is slated to use only 10% of the energy of an original wood framed house, which will be rigorously monitored by the USA LEED Certification system, to ensure accuracy during and after construction. At the same time, the owners are people like you and me, on tight budgets and this 2000 sq ft home aims to compete with similar wood framed houses. Studio RMA www.studioRMA.com, responsible for the design of this house is on the forefront of SCIP technology and with a lot of creative work is being able to create sustainable houses for the average person, which is a breakthrough for our times.

ALNO Pasadena awarded kitchen design and installation

You can't argue with experience. ALNO Pasadena, owners Fred Crockett and Vince Luzzi, were awarded the kitchen design and installation to the Pasadena EcoHouse, which will be the first LEED certifed Platinum home residence in the USA. Being a builder, contractor, design architecture shop for the past 30 years gave the firm top ranking and award. There is no attitude here, we just know what homeowners want and expect from their builder. We are honored to have been selected for this first residential LEED Platinum project and delighted ALNO Pasadena can contribute to the green design concept," remarked Crockett. Their showroom is located in Sierra Madre at 70 East Montecito Avenue. Email fcrockett@alnopasadena.com Phone 626-355-7500
