I live in Albuquerque and am looking for recycled concrete. Do you have the information (at your fingertips - ha!) where this was purchased to build this wall in Albuquerque? I would love to find someone here locally who stocks in for resale. club penguin cheats
I really like the idea of using old concrete sidewalk for a wall. I would like to hear from others who are experienced so I can do a new wall I am going to do .... right.
I have some pics of some walls that I have made by just stacking section on top of used section.

Greetings:
You are talking about a "stacked" wall, I used to work for a company in Portland Oregon called "THE WALL" that built retaining walls, planters, and decorative "rock" work hardscapes out of broken sidewalks anddriveways. These gravity mass walls look a lot better (in my opinion) and allow a wide variety of ways to recycle a product filling our landfills.
The look and durability of this type of construction realy makes recycleing sidewalks profitable and useful. I have included edible lanscapes, composting, water harvesting, and erosion control as part of the construcion on some projects and am considering geothermal applications as well. The recession gardens that are being built in response to Mrs. Obama's example could benifit from this type of construcion for a lower costs than the average project (broken sidewalk and driveways are cheap) and because the materials would not come from quarries and riverbeds this proccess could actually benifit the environment

Good example of why some people should hire out. Sorry, but not only does it look terrible, it has no strength because of the way the joints were not overlapped. For free concrete check craigslist free category

You can get broken concrete by;
1 classified ads "wanted broken 4" concrete"
2 craigs list etc
3 calling local contractors (concrete, or general) and offering to do clean-up around job sites with "no dump" fees for broken concrete.
4 Checking city and county building code enforcement agencies to locate proposed sidewalk construction or "red tags" postings that list what property owners are being required to repair their sidewalks.
The Wall in Portland used these methods to build a business that has been operating for 20 years

Examples of wall I worked on in Portland and a wall I built in my RV park can be found at http://pops-hinkle.spaces.live.com/ in my photo album titled REWALL or you can logging on to http://www.bythewall.com/ .
