Here is the start of a little 2 story 4200 sq ft Administration building going up based off our container system from SG Blocks. For those of you interested, we understand it takes approximately 8000kwh of energy to recycle 8000lbs of steel (steel content of a container) into new steel. Our process, referred to as "Value -Cycling TM" takes less than 5% of that same electrical energy or carbon footprint to modify and enhance that same container into a higher and better use such as an SG Block. It would be fair to say that we do have to use more "muscle" in our process but I need to lose a lb or two anyway!

SG Blocks 12 container building
I can say they finally figured this out... I found the website at SGBLOCKS.COM Too cool and very Green. Container housing and building using sgblocks looks pretty fast and easy.
Container office
this is fantastic. How much does the actual container cost? Does using these make the cost of construction plummet?
Green Containers
Yes, In the States... mainly in the coastal area... SF bay! You can pick up a cargo container for about $1600 for a 8'W x9'Hx40'L the same floor space in a come constructed of wood is about $5000. If you know how to weld its easy!
Plus cargo containers are VERY rigid they only make contact with the ground on the outer perimeter base. the walls have no load bearing forces.
