It has been a very busy December for us....first I am sorry for not saying high to our new friends that added us ....welcome and thank you! feel free to contact me anytime...... This latest project was a collaborative idea by Architect Robin Elmslie Olser (reosler@eoarch.com / www.eoarch.com). Thank you Robin for thinking outside the box! We incorporated roughly a 1900 +/- square foot soil based green wall in our standard 2'x2'x3" 100% recyclable modules. The panels were pre-grown off site and then brought to the project for installation. The result was a product that is 90% mature allowing for instant benefits and immediate aesthetics. In fact it was not 30 seconds after we removed the caution tape people were walking right up to it.......The green wall is facing a South South East elevation and will absorb the UV rays keeping the building cooler, during the 110 degree days, by preventing heat loss and heat gain. The primary source of irrigation is natural rainwater with an installed irrigation system to supplement during periods of drought. The recycled copper catch basin at the bottom will corral any excess water to be used in the adjacent landscaping along the public areas.
Look for some updated Deco-Walls later this weekend.....our manufacturing dept. has been very creative!
