The long hard road to the opening!

I signed up for this great website a month ago and I just now have time to update the world on the progress of my company.

I work for the Green Building Exchange in Redwood City. I have been working with this organization for about 7 months now, connecting the dots, building a team, networking, finding resources, and everything else it takes to build a revolutionary world changing facility. But alas it is almost time to harvest the fruit of my labor, with our facility filling up with exhibitors, classes filling our schedule, the press now taking note of who we are, and the feeling of accomplishment lets me know that it is all worth while.

We are now in the final stretch with our grand opening scheduled for the 28th of this month and only 2 weeks left to get everything organized, I can foresee some late nights and say good bye to my weekends. But then again this is only the beginning, because it will take lots more blood sweat and tears to keep this place going, with quarterly summits scheduled and already in motion, there will be this same anxiety repeating every couple of months. Also with another facility planning to open in Chicago less than a year from now I can see that I've got my work cut out for me.

I'll update the next time I have a 5 minute break.

Anxiously waiting for the month to be over.....
