Happy holidays from our green home to yours!
As you unwrap those presents and put away the last of the cookies, here are a few tips that can help with a green holiday wrap up.
- Don't forget to recycle your Christmas tree. Want to find out about tree recycling services in your area? Enter your zip code at earth911.org.
- Much of your wrapping paper can be recycled as well -- all non-foil wrapping paper, cardboard boxes, and holiday cards. Tissue paper, plastic wrapping, and packing peanuts cannot be recycled.
- And, don't forget, as you play with your new gadgets or don your new clothes -- the older versions can be recycled. Take clothes to a local thrift store and electronics to the appropriate recycling center.
