The leading consumer magazine published an article about central vacuum systems in the January 08 online edition. Because central vacuum systems are recognized as an important addition to any green building plan, it is a good idea to be informed about the options and how the machines are rated. The testing of the machines took place in June of 2004. When you look at the ratings it is quite interesting, because actually, there is very little difference between all the machines they tested. While I was perusing their website I noticed that this same consumer organization now publishes a "Green"online newsletter. I have included the link because I thought this might be of interest to the people reading this blog.
