A friend told me they heard about some "wicking" towels that contain Silver, which kills bacteria naturally. Apparently it was on the Building Green tv show. I called the company, Discovery Trekking Outfitters, and will be buying a few for my sailboat. Has anyone else tried these? They are being featured in many magazines as the hottest product around, because they don't grow bacteria (like cotton or pvc towels) and they dry super fast. I was hoping they may also be available in local stores, but haven't seen them. I wonder if anyone has. The company has a website, and does mail order, but it would be nice to have them available without having to wait.

Great for a boat!
I am also a boater, and always bought dark towels with the understanding that they evaporate water faster in the sun, but still, cotton is not a boater's friend. I wonder if any of the marine stores keep these in stock? If not, they should.
