Building with EcoSteel

We're new to the Building Green website, but not to green building. In this, our first post, we'd like to introduce ourselves and tell you a bit about the how and why of EcoSteel®.

EcoSteel specializes in custom modern designs that embrace the use of steel as an architectural element. Our all steel pre-engineered homes are designed by the Nations' leading architects in Modern Design/ Green Building. If you already have an architectural plan, we can build your existing design, and modify your plans to fit within the EcoSteel System. Our systems offer superior thermal efficiency with a virtually maintenance free life cycle.

Steel is an unlimited resource. It’s also one of the strongest, most durable and economically manufactured materials on earth. At EcoSteel, we use no rare or endangered plants or materials in any part of our designs. We’re proud that the overall recycling rate in the steel industry is over 75%, the highest of any industry in the country. And there’s typically only 2% waste in steel construction, versus 20% waste found with wood construction.
