I just freed up some space in my apartment because I desperately need a pseudo-office.
Now that the futon is gone, I'd like to replace it with a desk. Any suggestions out there on a good place to buy a green and affordable (and good looking) desk?

Ever thought of building your own?
There's some beautiful options if you buy the materials and make it yourself. A desk is probably the easiest of furniture to make, if you want to go that route. Check out http://www.ecowise.com/product_info.php?products_id=576&osCsid=b06rmqpnp... for the building material.... I really dig the sorghum table!

Craigslist!
Used furniture is a great way to go, especially for desks, which can be pricey for a good one. I'd buy a used desk for $25, and spend the money on a good, ergonomic chair.
